Insurance company, Shannons, has expanded its support of Australian tarmac rallying for 2013 to include all four Australian Targa Championship events operated by Octagon Australia – Targa Wrest Point, Targa Tasmania, Targa High Country and Classic Targa Adelaide.
This takes the number of enthusiast events supported by Shannons Australia-wide each year to more than 800. Shannons was a founding supporter of Targa Tasmania back in 1992 and has maintained a high profile connection with the event and many participants ever since – sharing the vision of Mark Perry and his team at Octagon Australia in developing the event to world’s best practice.
Shannons quarterly classic vehicle auctions in New South Wales and Victoria have also grown over the past 30 years to become the major public forum where interesting and collectable vehicles are bought and sold –many of them destined for a new life in Tarmac Rallying.
